Nephrology/Kidney Care

Nephrology refers to the evaluation, care, and treatment of the kidneys. Kidneys are an important organ in the human body. They filter waste from the blood, and excrete it along with water as urine. The kidneys are instrumental in maintaining a delicate balance that keeps the human body working effectively. When the kidneys are not working properly, it throws off this balance, and can cause serious health issues that must be treated by a specialist.

In the Lakes Region, we are fortunate to have access to an excellent kidney care and treatment facility. The Central NH Kidney Center, located in Laconia, provides care to patients with kidney disease, hypertension and end stage renal disease.
