Community Benefit Report
Like many healthcare institutions across the United States, LRGHealthcare is facing many economic challenges. We provide healthcare and emergency response services 24/7; keeping patient care, quality and safety our number one priority, all while contending with dwindling reimbursement, government mandates and complex payment reform.
Improving the health and well-being of individuals is at the heart of everything we do, and our commitment goes far beyond our walls. We regularly engage with the community to assess and respond to healthcare needs, and participate with community partners to support their work; understanding a coordination of efforts is required to make an impact on the complex social issues we face. LRGHealthcare programs and services are developed and priorities established, based on patient feedback, community work groups and information derived from cyclical community needs assessment.
Complexities of healthcare and the socio-economic challenges within our region result in financial loss surrounding community benefit allocation—the Community Benefit Report allows LRGHealthcare the opportunity to share information regarding the healthcare services we provide to meet the essential needs of our community. In fiscal year 2015, LRGHealthcare invested $44,777,649 of community benefit back into the Lakes and Three Rivers Regions.
