– In early December the Cascade Spa in Meredith hosted their annual Spalidays
event at Church Landing, drawing hundreds of attendees for an upscale two-day celebration focused on the benefits of spa services on personal health and well-being.
Each December Spalidays
guests are treated to mini spa services, great gifts and discounts, and they have the opportunity to chat with exclusive product vendors from around the world – all while giving back to their community. This past Spalidays event raised a very impressive $3,500.00 to benefit the Care Management program at LRGHealthcare.
Each of the past four years Martha Zyla, Director of the Cascade Spa, selected a specific health-related focus and designation for funds raised from Spalidays
. Looking back the event has highlighted the importance of screenings for early detection of breast cancer, skin cancer, and 2014 proceeds were designated to benefit patients struggling with a mental health diagnosis.
“Staff members at the Cascade Spa and Mill Falls at the Lake are very proud to support LRGHealthcare once again,” explains Zyla. “Proceeds raised from this past December’s Spalidays
event will benefit the Care Management program at LRGHealthcare, offering a helping hand to our friends and neighbors during a time of need.”
“We are very grateful to Martha Zyla and everyone at the Cascade Spa and Mill Falls, the vendors, local businesses and guests who helped to make the recent Spalidays
event such a successful event,” states LRGHealthcare Director of Care Coordination Karen Davis. “The Care Management team’s primary goal for this donation is to assist those patients who are facing not only significant health issues, but also have enormous financial challenges. Some patients will receive medications that they otherwise would not be able to pay for; others may be given necessary medical supplies such as diabetes testing kits, breathing treatment equipment, or wound care supplies. In some cases patients will receive dental care assistance. This gift will benefit so many patients in so many ways and is a wonderful way to give back to our community” adds Davis.
LRGHealthcare is a not-for-profit healthcare charitable trust representing Lakes Region General Hospital, Franklin Regional Hospital, and affiliated medical providers. LRGHealthcare’s mission is to provide quality, compassionate care and to strengthen the well-being of our community.
