FRANKLIN, NH- Franklin Regional Hospital (FRH) recently received the 2014 Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award. FRH is one of only two hospitals in the state of New Hampshire to receive this recognition. Three hundred eighty one hospitals out of 4,729 evaluated are recognized with the Patient Safety Excellence Award.
This distinction recognizes the top 10% of hospitals as leaders in patient safety based upon the analysis of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHQR) patient safety indicators.
Did you know that from 2010-2012, there were 266,813 serious, potentially preventable patient safety events among Medicare patients in US hospitals? The Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award recognizes hospitals that have the lowest occurrences of thirteen serious, potentially preventable complications and adverse events during a patient’s hospital stay.
