Kevin Donovan – President & CEO

Kevin DonovanKevin joined LRGHealthcare June, 2016 after serving as President and CEO of Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT for almost six years.

Kevin’s previous roles included serving as a Senior Vice President at the Elliot Health System in Manchester, Director at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, and a hospital and physician practice leader in various organizations in Massachusetts.

Kevin’s professional experience in healthcare dates back to the early 90’s though he’s been around it his entire life growing up with several family members who were clinicians as well as hospital administrators.

In addition to the positions he’s held at various healthcare organizations throughout NH, Kevin has been heavily involved with a number of professional and community organizations. To name just a few, he is a fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives; the president-elect for the Northern New England Association of Healthcare Executives; a board member for the Vermont Association of Hospital and Health Systems; a member of the American Hospital Association (AHA) Small and Rural Governing Council; and past president of the Windsor, VT Rotary Club and the Vermont Regent to the American College of Health Care Executives.


Henry Lipman – Senior VP/Financial Strategies & External Relations

Henry LipmanHenry Lipman joined LRGH’s administrative staff in 1984 as the Budget Planning Director. In 1985, he was appointed Vice President of Professional Services. In 1990 he assumed the role of Vice President of Professional Services and Finance and in 1997 became Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lipman was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January 2000.

Mr. Lipman graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire’s Health Care Management and Policy Program and received his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in health care management from Boston University. In 2003, Mr. Lipman, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, was elected Regent for the State of New Hampshire to the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In November 2005, Mr. Lipman was elected to Laconia’s City Council, and in 2012, became Senior VP/Financial Strategies & External Relations. Prior to joining LRGH, Mr. Lipman was employed at Concord Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire as a Management Engineer Assistant.


Marge Kerns – Vice President, Clinical Services

Marge KernsMarge Kerns is the Vice President of Clinical Services at LRGHealthcare. She joined the organization in 1992 as a Staff Pharmacist. She was promoted to Director, Pharmacy Services in 1995 and continued in that role until 2001 when she added Co-Directorship of Medical Safety. While serving in that position, Marge had shared responsibility for developing and maintaining safe systems throughout the organization. She assumed the additional responsibility of Director of Hematology/Oncology in 2012 and was promoted to her current position in 2013.

Marge received her BS in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island and began her career in hospital pharmacy and administration in the Philadelphia area. She has published articles in the area of pharmacy as well as patient safety and is often a speaker throughout the state on associated topics. Marge is a current member of the NH Commission on Healthcare Quality, is active in a number of community organizations, and is a past School Board member and chair in the Laconia School District.


Cass Walker – VP/Administrative & Support Services

Andrew PattersonCass studied Business Management and Psychology at Lesley College. Beginning her career in banking Cass transitioned to human services where she met her late husband. In 1989 they cofounded Road To Responsibility, a private, nonprofit organization providing services to adults with cognitive and mental health support needs. The organization continues to carry out the mission originally established in supporting the needs of individuals with disabilities.

Cass has worked for LRGHealthcare since 2008 beginning as the HR manager at FRH. Her current role, VP of Administrative & Support Services oversees Human Resources (HR), Education Services, Community Affairs including Philanthropy, Marketing, Public Relations, and Volunteer Services.

“Having begun my undergraduate studies in a nursing program and working as a HUC in Boston, I believe my career has come full circle. The changing needs of our communities in both healthcare and social issues will continue to challenge us. It is my sincere hope that by working collaboratively we can continue to improve our services to our community, patients, volunteers, students, and employees. I am honored to work with the incredible talent and commitment that exists here at LRGHealthcare.”

Cass lives in Laconia. Her children Alec, Lydia and Emma are attending college in NH and MA.

She is an officer of the Healthcare Human Resources Association of NH, a member ASHHRA, SHRM and holds a PHR certification.


Kevin H. Irish – Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Kevin H. IrishKevin Irish is the Chief Information Officer, responsible for information technology, in support of mission-critical business operations for LRGHealthcare. He joined LRGHealthcare in 2011.

Mr. Irish earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Champlain College in 1984, and his Bachelors of Science in Information Managed Technology from Daniel Webster College in 1999.

He began his career in healthcare, working for IDX Systems as a Systems Engineer, responsible for setting up hospital computer systems all over the United States. He served as a Systems Manager for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center; Director of Information Technology for Catholic Medical Center and Chief Information Officer for Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA.

Mr. Irish serves on the board of Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice Services, and is a corporator for Franklin Savings Bank. 


Mitchell B. Jean, Esq. – General Counsel

Mitchell Jean is General Counsel for LRGHealthcare. He joined LRGHealthcare in 2002 as Director of Risk Management and was named General Counsel in 2015. Mr. Jean is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire (1979) and earned his law degree at Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law) in 1983. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.




Paul Onthank – Director, Financial Services

Paul OnthankPaul Onthank is the Director of Financial Services. He joined LRGHealthcare in 2007. Mr. Onthank earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Southern New Hampshire.

Mr. Onthank has more than 40 years of healthcare financial management experience in the State of New Hampshire, including Southern NH Health System, Northeast Rehabilitation Network and Hunt Community. He currently serves on the Belknap Economic Committee, Lakes Region Chamber Finance Committee, and the Moultonborough Zoning Board of Adjustment. 


Jacqueline Dawe – MN, RN-BC, CNOR -Chief Nursing Officer

Jacqueline DaweJacqueline, a native Newfoundlander, moved to New Hampshire and started at LRGHealthcare in 2000. She began working in the ICU and in 2003 she transferred to the OR. In 2005 Jacqueline became a Clinical Educator on the Franklin Campus. In 2012 she took the Manager’s position for the Franklin OR and in 2015 was promoted to CNO for LRGHealthcare.

Jacqueline graduated from The General Hospital School of Nursing in 1995. Obtained her BSN in 2009 and her MN from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2014. She is a Certified Operating Room Nurse and is Board Certified in Nursing Professional Development. Jacqueline is also a Board Member of Advanced Orthopaedic Specialists.


Judith LaFrance – MBA, CMPE-Interim Director, Provider Services

Judith LaFranceJudy joined the Laconia Clinic in 1997 as their CFO after spending twelve years in public accounting. As the Laconia Clinic continued their alignment with LRGHealthcare, Judy became more engaged with hospital operations and joined the Finance Team in 2012 as their Director, Financial Operations. She ultimately transitioned into the Practice Network and is currently working as the Interim Director of Provider Operations. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UNH and an MBA in Leadership from Franklin Pierce. She is a Past President of the NH Medical Group Management Association and is on a number of charitable boards.
