Preparing for a Sleep Study
Preparing for an overnight sleep study at the LRGHealthcare Sleep Center is a simple process. Below are some basic guidelines to help make your experience as pleasant as possible.
On the day of your sleep study:

Try not to take a nap;

Avoid caffeine at least eight hours before your study;

Do not drink any alcohol on the day of your study;

Shower and wash your hair (Please do not apply any hair products or use cologne, oil or lotion on your skin the day of your study);

Eat dinner
Bring the following items with you to the Sleep Center:

Your medication list, and any medications you normally take at bedtime;

Pajamas or comfortable sleeping attire (preferably two-piece);

Personal toiletries;

Your pillow, a book or other reading material (if you wish)
