Aquatic Therapy Services
Rehabilitation services at Hillside Medical Park is pleased to offer aquatic therapy rehabilitation and exercise services.
Aquatic therapy is appropriate for a variety of diagnoses including post-operative pain and weakness, neurological disorders, orthopedic and sport injuries, arthritis and gait and balance deficits. Our professional aquatic rehabilitation therapists work with individuals whose condition makes traditional therapy too difficult or painful.
The pool room is 85 degrees, and the water temperature is 92 degrees. The pool measures 20x30, and includes stairs, power lift chair and whirlpool jets. It is divided into three depths of: 3-feet, 6 inches, 4-feet, 2 inches and 7-feet. It is treated with Bromine.
Because the water is three-dimensional and is seven hundred times more dense than air, it is ideal for toning and strengthening. It helps to promote muscle balance and it 'cushions' the affect on joints and muscles.
