LRGHealthcare's Healthy Living-Community Education programs help to keep you and your family healthy.

Below is a list of upcoming programs on a variety of health topics including important women's health issues, injury prevention, smoking cessation and nutrition and physical activity opportunities for all ages.

Cancer Care
Breast Cancer and Beyond Support Program

Support Program Social gathering for any women who have been affected by breast cancer.

Let No Woman Be Overlooked: Breast & Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP)

Free breast and cervical cancer screenings are available for women ages 21-64 who meet certain guidelines.

Mammography Bridge Program

If you do not have health insurance or have a high deductible, funds may be available to help cover the cost of a mammogram.

Six-week program designed to help you, or someone you know to better manage a chronic health condition such as arthritis, diabetes and/ or chronic pain.

Community Mobility-Are You Safe to Drive?

Free program developed by an occupational therapist who specializes in driving assessments. Learn how physical, mental and sensory abilities change with aging, and the impact these changes have on your ability to drive. Using Technology for Optimal Brain Health

Osteoporosis-Keeping Your Bones Healthy

A FREE course on bone anatomy, risk factors for osteoporosis and osteopenia. Learn movement strategies to prevent fractures, and safe exercises to promote good balance. Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 11:00 am-noon at Franklin Regional Hospital, first floor Rehab wing.  Call 524-2852 to register. 

Heart Health: Cardiac Rehabilitation Program 

Designed for people who have heart disease and are recuperating from an acute event such as, a heart attack, coronary bypass surgery or balloon (stent) surgery.  The program includes goal-oriented supervised exercise, education for self management of heart disease, and support to make healthy lifestyle changes. Call 527-2810 for more information.

Weekly Weight In brought to you by the Weight Institute of New Hampshire (WINH)

Find the support you need while learning about different nutrition topics each week to optimize your weight loss.
To begin this program, participants must meet with a registered dietitian for a one-time consultation to design your individualized meal plan. Teen Weight Loss Support Group

Water Fitness 
Arthritis Aquatic Program

Ideal for people with arthritis and other physical limitations. No swimming skills are needed. Class meets twice a week for six weeks at Hillside Medical Park, Gilford.

Aqua Pilates/Yoga

W.O.W. Class (Work Off Weight)

Jump-start your metabolism with this eight week program designed to help participants with weight loss goals of 50 pounds or more. Exercises include water walking, core strengthening, light aerobics and muscle strengthening using buoyancy equipment in the shallow and deep ends of the pool.

The series is designed to assist coaches, athletes and recreational athletes develop sport specific skills or improve overall fitness. Participants are invited to attend all sessions or just one. Classes are FREE. Please come dressed appropriately and ready to participate.
