LRGHealthcare's Healthy Living-Community Education programs help to keep you and your family healthy.

Below is a list of upcoming programs on a variety of health topics including important women's health issues, injury prevention, smoking cessation and nutrition and physical activity opportunities for all ages.

Community Education Programs: 

Cancer Care
Breast Cancer and Beyond Support Program

Support Program Social gathering for any women who have been affected by breast cancer.

Medically supervised exercise programs for people with chronic illnesses, and those whose doctors feel could benefit from a supervised program.

Private consultation with certified athletic/fitness trainer to develop a safe and effective exercise program.

Chair Yoga for Fitness

Maintain your flexibility and strength. This class is for people with limited mobility or who are recovering from injury. Gentle yoga and core conditioning practiced seated or standing using a chair for support.
Class meets one time per week for 8 weeks.

Better Choices, Better Health Chronic Disease Self-Management Program

Six-week program designed to help you, or someone you live with, better manage a chronic health condition such as arthritis, diabetes and chronic pain.

Nutrition and Weight Management
Weekly Weight In brought to you by the Weight Institute of New Hampshire (WINH)

Find the support you need while learning about different nutrition topics each week to optimize your weight loss.
To begin this program, participants must meet with a registered dietitian for a one-time consultation to design your individualized meal plan. Offered Thursdays, 4:15 - 5:30 pm in the WINH Conference room, 85 Spring Street, Laconia. Call 527-7120 for more information, cost and registration.

Teen Weight Loss Support Group

A peer support group for teens struggling with weight issues.  Topics include; a balanced plate. healthy drinks, eating out and emotional and food-related peer pressure.  Faciliated by a licensed dietitian, the group meets every Friday from 3:30-4:30 pm in the WINH Conference room, 85 Spring Street, Laconia.  Call 527-2850 for more information or to register.

A Weigh Out: Ending Mindless Eating

Do you already know what foods to eat, and how much for weight loss; but find that it is still not enough to achieve your weight loss goals? This four week series will cover emotional eating, accepting yourself, mindful eating and stress management.

Bariatric Information Sessions

W.O.W. Class (Work Off Weight)

Jump-start your metabolism with this eight week program designed to help participants with weight loss goals of 50 pounds or more. Exercises include water walking, core strengthening, light aerobics and muscle strengthening using buoyancy equipment in the shallow and deep ends of the pool.

Athletic Performance Series

This series has been designed to assist the coach, the athlete or the everyday recreational athlete towards developing sport specific skills or improve their overall fitness. Individuals are welcome to attend one or all. Classes are FREE. Please come dressed appropriately and ready to participate.
