Spring Into a Healthy Life! Living Well Series: Better Choices, Better Health

3/28/2013

The definition of a chronic condition is a health condition or disease that is persistent or otherwise long-lasting in its effects. The term chronic is typically applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months. This can include arthritis, chronic pain, asthma, obesity, osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease and other conditions that you live with on a daily or weekly basis, which significantly limit day-to-day activities. If you or a loved one suffers from a chronic health condition, “spring” into action by attending LRGHealthcare’s Better Choices, Better Health 6-week workshop.

Better Choices, Better Health is a 6-week workshop presented by LRGHealthcare Community Educator Melissa Rizzo and Franklin Area VNA Wanda Belyea. The next session beginson Monday, April 8th at Franklin Regional Hospital from 10am to noon and will continue through Monday, May 13th.

Better Choices, Better Health will help participants learn skills for living a full, healthy life with a chronic condition, learn to set weekly goals, and develop a practical step-by-step plan for improving health and quality of life.

Workshop leaders Melissa Rizzo and Wanda Belyea will guide participants through this proven program developed by the Stanford University School of Medicine.
