The Building Healthy Communities talk with transportation, planning and public health consultant Mark Fenton (www.markfenton.com) on November 2 was very well received with over 90 prominent Lakes Region men and women in attendance. Many local officials, school district representatives, media personnel, local business owners and Belknap County Economic Development Council (BCEDC) incorporators & board members listened closely as Mark Fenton explained scenarios on how to better our roads and walkways for improving the public health of the community.
A special thank you to Tom Clairmont, President & CEO of LRGHealthcare and Carmen Lorentz, Executive Director of the BCEDC for presenting Mark Fenton and Allan Beetle of the WOW Trail and Patrick’s Pub & Eatery for the coordination of the discussion. Thirty percent of those who attended are interested in follow up action and setting up a committee for furthering the discussion.
If interested in more information or to be involved in improving the economic climate and the public health of our community, please go to www.bcedc.org, www.lrgh.org or www.wowtrail.com.
