5 ways to combat bad breath

  1. Practice good hygiene. Brush at least twice a day, for two to three minutes at a time, and brush your tongue, too. Replace your toothbrush every three or four months. Floss daily and see your dentist regularly.
  2. Drink plenty of water to wash away odor-causing bacteria.
  3. Suck on a sugarless mint to stimulate saliva production and eliminate bacteria. Chewing on parsley and using mouth rinse can also get rid of bad breath temporarily.
  4. Quit smoking.
  5. Consult your healthcare provider if bad breath persists. It could be a sign of an underlying medical problem
