If your insurance company just rejected one of your claims, don’t be so quick to accept the rejection. The denial may just be the result of a billing error, such as an incorrect code filed with the insurance carrier. Contact your insurance company to discuss why it turned the claim down. Take notes during phone calls, making sure to include the name of the person you spoke to and the date and time of the conversation.
